A Baptist Catechism
One of the blessings and privileges we have as parents is to be the primary spiritual teachers in our children’s lives. Historically, catechisms were used to help give contours and direction in teaching. Catechisms have been used in the Christian tradition as early as the Apostles’ Creed to help synthesize and systematize the faith in an easy to remember way.
If you don’t have kids, the catechism is still an excellent way to grow in your own understanding of the Christian faith. You can go through this 118-question and answer catechism at your own pace. There are verse references and notes to be able to aid in your understanding and own testing to see if the answers are biblically sound.
In the downloadable catechism below, there is also an brief explanation as to the history and benefit to using such a resource.
